Lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP)

An upgrade of LFP: adding manganese to the phosphate cathode raises voltage and energy density while keeping LFP's low cost and cobalt-free cathode.

LMFP adds manganese to the LFP cathode. In its global statistics the IEA counts it together with LFP.1

Gotion's L600 LMFP cell is rated at 240 Wh/kg and 525 Wh/L, with 190 Wh/kg at pack level and 4,000 cycles at room temperature (1,800 at high temperature), according to the company.2
